The Difference

Wood selection is the key starting element. The guitars are paired with a multi-density tone wood and an extremely ridged hardwood.

Our necks don't bolt on. The neck, being the core of the instrument, runs through the entire instrument from end to end. 100% of your string resonation enters the body of the guitar.

The first difference you'll notice when picking up this guitar is the neck. The neck design is where much of the magic happens, and it's certainly the biggest difference between this amazing guitar and more conventionally constructed guitars.

Firstly, the fretboard is completely flat. No curve at all, and straight as an arrow. You'll find that your intonation is more accurate. When playing chords and when ripping out a solo your fingers will glide between the strings with ease.

Second, the neck is fat. Like, really, really fat. It fills your hand completely. To some players this may seem weird at first, but once you get used to it, other guitars feel like a child's toy. We've had plenty of testimonials from some of the best guitarists in the world saying they love the fatty neck of this guitar. The larger neck is designed to be more ergonomic so that when playing chords or solos it rests comfortably in your hand. You will probably notice that during longer play sessions you experience less fatigue than you are used to.

Third, conventional guitar necks are made of a single piece of wood, like maple, having the grain of the neck running horizontal to the guitar, with a very hard wood, like ebony, laminated on top for the fretboard. Our neck is made of three pieces of wood laminated with the grain vertical to the body of the guitar. Two extremely hard woods on the outside, and a tonewood sandwiched in between. This provides an extreme level of rigidity to the neck. It doesn't bend or flex at all. Which means that 100% of your strings' vibration goes directly into the body of the guitar, creating bigger tone and longer sustain.
